Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a curving triangular brick red border with one point down enclosing a white background crossed by two wavy blue bars one near top the other near bottom, all surmounted by a brick red five-pointed star between two gold wheels with eight spokes their hubs and the spaces between spokes brick red, and inscribed in gold on the upper border the words "ON THE MOVE" and on the lower border the words "TO SERVE."

Symbolism
Brick red and yellow (gold) are the colors used for the Transportation Corps. The star at center indicates the functions of command and control and the wheels and curving border (suggesting a roadway) refer to the operations of transportation battalions. The blue and white wavy areas allude to the many lakes of the city of Orlando, Florida, the Group's home station.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 22 April 1971.
